Using computerised voices speaking French, the twin characters in this video, Kitty & Katty, present us with a series of enigmatic riddles. In fact they are so complicated that they are near impossible to decipher. Referencing the German town of Saarlouis near the French border, built originally as a fortress after the Franco-Dutch War of 1672-78, this work is one of their most recent videos, and is made entirely using simply constructed mannequins and a series of hypnotic, slow-moving camera shots.
