‘StudentenLeuven’

Presentation of a second provisional workbook as a stepping stone for further research into Jef Lambrecht's formative years at the university - which he reportedly barely attended - although he obtained his degrees swimmingly… in fact, he studied in an intensely playful manner and based much of his research on practical experience, if not experimentation - true investigation. He also spent a lot of time in Amsterdam among the former Provos, by then Kabouters—an inspiring period that shaped his later working methods.

presentation of a second provisional workbook as a stepping stone for further research into Jef Lambrecht's formative years at the university - which he reportedly barely attended - although he obtained his degrees swimmingly… in fact, he studied in an intensely playful manner and based much of his research on practical experience, if not experimentation - true investigation. He also spent a lot of time in Amsterdam among the former Provos, by then Kabouters—an inspiring period that shaped his later working methods.

By then he already begun a young family and thus became aware of alternative lifestyles, while formulating his own personal perspective on the world opening up before him.

This book, however, limits itself to possible aspects that influenced his later artistic choices - for a personal biography, one must look elsewhere. In-depth accounts from third parties are also missing, apart from a few brief recollections by brother and sister. A more thorough investigation into Jef Lambrecht’s inner world will have to wait for a future publication – but this book perhaps lifts a small corner of the veil.
